Year 13 Media Studies

This is what you should have on your coursework blogs so far: 1. Notes on the history of music video and Goodwin's theory 2. Analysis (applying Goodwin) of Tribute/99 Problems (as completed in class) 3. Your own Goodwin analysis of a video of your choice 4. Cross-media promotion case study of a recording artist/band of your choice 5. Notes on Adorno & Horkheimer and research into artist/s that do/don't follow the theory 6. Notes on independent vs mainstream record labels and research into an indie/mainstream artist 7. Your chosen brief and initial response to it 8. Research into your chosen genre and Goodwin analysis of SEVERAL music videos within that genre, commenting on their use of codes & conventions
